Pakistan Army — PMA Long Course & Commission
Entry as a commissioned officer through PMA Long Course, Technical Cadet Course, Lady Cadet Course or direct short-service commission. Selection is an elimination chain: initial test, physical, medical and the four-day ISSB.
Eligibility
- — PMA Long Course: Intermediate with at least 60% (or graduation), age 17–22 years.
- — Technical Cadet Course: FSc pre-engineering with high marks, age 16–21.
- — Lady Cadet Course: Bachelor/Master in the required discipline, age limit as per the course advert.
- — Unmarried for PMA Long Course; Pakistani national with any provincial domicile.
Physical & medical standards
- — Male height minimum 5 ft 4 in (162.5 cm); female 4 ft 10 in (149.5 cm).
- — Initial physical: 1.6 km run in 8 minutes, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 3 chin-ups.
- — Eyesight, hearing, dental, BMI, flat feet, knock knees and hydrocele are common rejection points.
- — Start running and body-weight training at least 8 weeks before the initial test.
